Massive, ambient, melodic and rythmical..
Formed in 1997 by Jan-Helge and Kåre, artismight has taken it's time to evolve. By '98 Tina had come into the band too - yet something was missing. So we convinced Anne-Lise to try out on oil barrells. Heavy as they are, they still sound great! And fit nicely into Jan-Helge's fundamental idea for the soundscape.
In the summer of '99 artismight found that they somehow had gotten entered in UBL's "born on the WWW" competition. Much to our surprise. An even bigger surprise was that two of 5 "tastemakers" made us the "pick of the week" one of the weeks. (one of the tastemakers was mr. Dave Navarro too :-)). artismight ended up 3. and 4. that week in the competition.
Later we've been featured on ArtisDirect's DownloadsDirect.com site with captionings like "artismight rocks the house" and "..will blow the walls of your mind down!".
In March '00 artismight is to play on 'by:Larm' (the norwegian equivalent of 'In The City', where the band has been referred to as one of the 'most interesting bands' by some newspapers.
